The Collecteur is Back

A New Chapter Begins with Imaginary Objects

After a period of introspection, creative exploration, and countless nights of overthinking, I am officially announcing that I’m back—and with a new series that has me quite exhilarated. I’m calling this latest chapter in my artistic journey, Imaginary Objects, a collection of 50 works that delve deep into the surreal and the extraordinary.

This return is especially meaningful for me as it marks a significant new chapter not just in my professional life, but also in my personal one. During my time away from creating, I became a mother—a transformative experience that has reshaped my perspective in ways I could never have anticipated. The process of nurturing new life has deepened my understanding of the creative process itself—how it, too, is about growth, patience, and embracing the unknown.

As many of you know, my work has always been an exploration of the boundaries between fashion, art, and identity. But with Imaginary Objects, I wanted to push those boundaries even further into tangibility. This series is a celebration of the limitless possibilities that lie at the intersection of creativity and imagination, where the everyday is transformed into the extraordinary. You'll find pieces that challenge the conventional and invite you into a world where reality is bent, reshaped, and reimagined. From plastic Birkins to sculptures that defy expectation, each piece is a testament to the power of imagination.

To me, this new body is more than just an artistic expression; it’s a statement—a declaration of my return and a bold step forward in my evolution as an artist. The inspiration behind these pieces is rooted in my desire to disrupt the ordinary, to provoke thought, and to invite you to see the world through my lens. It’s a call to embrace the unexpected, to find beauty in the unconventional, and to celebrate the power of the creative mind.

As an artist, the fear of change is a constant companion—especially when it comes to meeting the expectations of an audience that has grown with you. There’s always a tension between staying true to your evolving vision and delivering what is expected. The fear of disappointing those who have supported you can be paralyzing, but I’m coming to realize that true growth lies in embracing that fear and using it as a catalyst for innovation.

With this new series, I’ve chosen to embrace change and to trust that my audience will come along for the ride. I’m creating this reality after all, and I’m learning that my most powerful creations often emerge from the space where certainty and uncertainty collide. The Collecteur has always been about more than just art; it is a community, a movement, a shared love for the extraordinary of fashion, and I can only hope that nothing changes this time around.

After a hiatus that felt both endless and fleeting, The Collecteur is back—and with more fervor than ever before. The time away wasn’t just a period of rest; I became a mother, a transition that has reshaped every aspect of my life, including my creative vision. The act of creation, whether life or art, is a process of transformation.
